Description
The purpose of the USACE assessment is to identify the information and data gaps that the Corps needs to determine the potential impacts of climate change on the vulnerability of Corps of Engineers’ projects and mission areas. The Corps’ mission areas that we are focusing on for this assessment include: Flood Control, Ecosystem Restoration, and Navigation all of which have potential impacts from sea level rise, changes in storminess, and the habitat of sea life and terrestrial life in their respective ecosystem. A preliminary assessment of climate change activities being undertaken by other agencies and how these relate to Corps’ projects and missions will also be developed.
